By the end of the second week, everyone is very excited to be going up into Iraq. There's something about getting settled and into a working routine, plus the consensus amongst the 61 people in my tent is that the sooner we get there, the sooner we'll get to see everyone back home. I get the news that our oldest son has started kindergarten and that things are going well. I enjoy helping the soldiers, being their counselor and rabbi, but knowing that my family is doing well back home is what really makes it possible for me to do my work here.
