This Shabbos, thanks to some flyers in the Dining Facility, we were joined by two others. Then a few days later, I met another Jewish soldier at lunch. Most of them will, like the Jewish Soldiers already in Iraq, be spread out, with no rabbi nearby. I invited them all to Camp Taji for Chanukah and we exchanged email addresses, and promised to stay in touch. That is one of the biggest challenges for a Jewish soldier - staying connected and having a sense of community in their life.
